Surprise Surprise the RINOs let us down.

When House Republicans penned their Pledge to America in 2010, they convinced American voters they would advance a conservative agenda if they regained control of the House that year. Four years later, what promises have they actually delivered?

ObamaCare is still intact, our national debt has grown by $3 trillion, and Republicans have capitulated to Democrats on every issue from the debt ceiling to the budget. Republican leaders in both the House and the Senate have failed conservatives and have failed to keep their Pledge to America.
Let’s examine how the GOP pledge has fallen flat.
Repeal the Costly Health Care Takeover of 2010 – Despite countless meaningless votes to repeal ObamaCare, Republican leaders had an actual chance to undo the disastrous healthcare law in 2013 by refusing to fund ObamaCare. Instead of putting their words into action, GOP Leaders in the House and Senate caved to Democrats, refused to fight, and allowed funding for ObamaCare to pass.
Rein in the Red Tape Factory; Rein in Government Waste and Duplication – In 2013, a Congressional Research Service report showed the number of federal rules actually increased the year after the House GOP made their Pledge to America. In 2012, $23.5 billion in new regulatory costs were caused by 25 new rulemakings. I’d call that the opposite of reining in red tape and weeding out waste.
Act Immediately to Reduce Spending; Make it Easier to Cut Spending; Cut Congress’ Budget; Cut Government Spending to Pre-Stimulus, Pre-Bailout Levels – Republican leaders can play all the games they want with spending cuts, like voting for cuts they know will never be enacted, but they can’t argue they kept these promises when our national debt skyrocketed from $14 trillion in January 2011 when the GOP regained the House to over $17 trillion now.
Reform the Budget Process – When both chambers of Congress haven’t agreed on a budget since before the iPad existed (as pointed out by House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy himself) and our government has been operating off of continuing resolutions, the only reform that’s happening is for the worst. Even the newest budget from House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is an utter disaster  increasing spending and caving on critical issues. Republicans even failed to publish the bad budget deal online at least three days before voting on it despite their pledge to do so.
The list of broken pledges goes on and on.

Conservatives Must Join the Battle for America On Twitter

In 2004,  The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth scared the hell out of the corrupt media. The MSM was sure incumbent President George W. Bush would finally get the humiliation he deserved after the close election in 2000 because, in a time of war, Democrats had nominated Senator John F. Kerry, a "war hero."

Those best laid plans completely fell apart when a number of veterans, some of whom had served with Kerry in Vietnam, came out with a series of television ads attacking the credibility of Kerry's wartime claims, and most especially, the hagiography the media had written to back those claims up.

At first, Kerry and his media minions willfully ignored the Swift Boat Veterans, assuming they could wait them out. What happened, though, is that the story took off in the alternative media: Drudge, blogs, and Fox News.

Finally, the media was forced to report on it, and the result was the whole episode blowing up in the media's face. Kerry's primary strength was undermined by the truth, and Bush went on to a second term.

The media was rattled to the core by this and quickly figured out what had happened. A narrative had grown on New Media, damaged their candidate, and by the time the corrupt media got around to attempting to destroy the credibility of the story and, quite reprehensibly, the men who told it, it was too late.

The media cried "Never again!" and, as a result, birthed an unholy set of twins to back that cry up: Media Matters and a number of corrupt truth squads and fact checkers, like Politifact.

Both of these entities are what I call Inconvenient Narrative Zappers. Their job is to spot emerging and potential narratives damaging to the Left and, before they make their way into the mainstream media, to use lies, half-truths, rationalizations, shameless spin, and anything else they can think of to discredit those narratives and ensure they gain no traction. This allows the MSM to either completely ignore stories it doesn't want to amplify or to simply report on "an already discredited story" bubbling online.

Think about what the anti-Semitic, Soros-funded, tax-exempt Media Matters and its equally dishonest brethren in the form of these MSM fact-checkers would've done to the Swift Boat Veterans. Actually, you don’t have to imagine it, because we all saw what was done to stories inconvenient to Obama's ascendancy to the presidency in 2008.

Anything and everything having to do with Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, and the rest of Obama's inexperienced and shadowy past was attacked, marginalized,  and exploded in a controlled environment before it ever got to the MSM. By the time Anderson Cooper or Bryan Williams got around to the story, they had already been supplied the talking points necessary to downplay it. This tactic was absurdly effective and now 23 million unemployed Americans are living with the result of an unqualified Leftist sitting in the Oval Office.

We all laughed in 2009 when Politifact fact-checked an "SNL" sketch critical of Obama, but there was a method to their madness. Leftists like those at Politifact understand the power of satire to define someone. Thus, in order to protect Obama, Politifact was willing to make of fools of themselves to undermine any traction the "SNL" sketch about Obama's broken promises might have received.

On a more serious note, here's the harrowing story of how Media Matters stole justice from a black man beaten in public by Obama's SEIU thugs only hours after the White House issued an order to "punch back twice as hard." Most importantly, it's the tale of how Media Matters gave the media the cover it so desired to ignore the story.

But it's not 2009 anymore; it's 2012, and Twitter has not only changed everything, it's allowing everyday American conservatives the opportunity to beat Media Matters and these corrupt fact checkers at their own game.

State Dept Hiding Benghazi Survivors

Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R- UT) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he has been “thwarted” by the State Department from seeing any Americans who survived the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in  Benghazi. Many people forget that there were Americans who survived the Benghazi attack, some of whom were badly injured and are still recovering.

“My understanding is that we still have some people in the hospital. I’d like to visit with them and wish them nothing but the best but the State Department has seen it unfit for me to know who those people are—or even how many there are,” Rep. Chaffetz said. "I don’t know who they are. I don’t know where they live. I don’t know what state they’re from. I don’t even know how many there are. It doesn’t seem right to me."
“This is so patently different than any other experience I’ve had. Unfortunately, people have been killed and maimed and in harm’s way in Afghanistan and Iraq and in points beyond. It’s typically been the case that they would release those names but in this case, they won’t. My challenge is to the media. You try and figure it out. They won’t let Congress know. They won’t seem to let the media know either.”
Breitbart News sent an inquiry to the State Department regarding those who survived the attack in Benghazi and is awaiting a response.

Obama EPA Must Not Approve E15

The Obama administration EPA is eager to press forward with beginning the sale of E15, an ethanol-based fuel source. Only one problem: AAA, the 53 million member travel group, says that the fuel source erodes engines. E10 has already been approved for market, but E15 has a higher percentage of ethanol. About 12 million light-duty vehicles can use E15; GM and Ford have greenlit E15 for new model vehicles.

AAA President and CEO Robert Darbelnet says, “It is clear that millions of Americans are unfamiliar with E15, which means there is a strong possibility that many motorists may improperly fill up using this gasoline and damage their vehicle. Bringing E15 to the market without adequate safeguards does not responsibly meet the needs of consumers …. The sale and use of E15 should be suspended until additional gas pump labeling and consumer education efforts are implemented to mitigate problems for motorists and their vehicles.”

If the EPA does not label its product more properly, it is possible that millions of vehicles could be damaged, necessitating huge expenditures on the government-bailed-out auto industry.

Tim Allen: Give Your Money Away Before Government Takes It

Sitcom star Tim Allen isn't an outspoken conservative, but he knows a thing or two about how money works. Or, in some cases, doesn't work if simply handed out or taken by the government.

Allen shared his personal tale on finances and Uncle Sam's lust for our cold, hard cash during an interesting exchange Wednesday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
JIMMY KIMMEL, HOST: Does your family ask you for money when you go back home?

TIM ALLEN: Yes!

KIMMEL: Do they? Yeah, yeah.

ALLEN: Does that ever work, you know? This folds into the government, doesn't it?

KIMMEL: I think it does work.

ALLEN: You can't give people money and help them. It doesn't work.

KIMMEL: Yeah, but they're willing to try.

ALLEN: Yeah, they are definitely willing to. Oh, God, did you bring up a sore one.

KIMMEL: Well, why don't you make an announcement right now that you’re headed home and you won't be giving any money to anyone?

ALLEN: Well, you know what I look at sometimes, I say, “Rather them than the government.”

KIMMEL: I see.

ALLEN: You know, you better give your money away before it gets taken from you.

Obama Expands ATF's Right to Seize Guns

Obama has expanded civil-forfeiture rules making it permissible for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to seize weapons from citizens without the hassle of due process.

This effectively gives Attorney General Eric Holder, of Fast and Furious fame, extended power over guns and gun-related property.
The rules were broadened under the guise of giving the ATF authority "to seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled substance abuses." And if that doesn't strike you as extreme on first glance, consider the fact that this expansion of civil-forfeiture allows the ATF to fore-go almost all "due process" in making their seizures -- in effect, placing the burden of proof on the citizen instead of federal agents.
Last year, even without these expanded powers, ATF confiscated more than 11,000 guns, and nearly four hundred of them were taken from innocent citizens. With the expanded powers and the ease of bypassing due process now in place, the number of guns confiscated could rise exponentially.
We cannot view this expansion of civil-forfeiture without remembering Obama's May 2011 pledge to pursue gun control "under the radar." For what could be more "under the radar" that quietly expanding federal  power to bypass due process and confiscate private citizens' guns?
