Obama and the perversion of our language

President Obama has developed this perversion of language into an art form.

His first campaign spoke of “Change we can believe in” without once explaining change from what and to what. He couldn’t, because the change he sought was from semi-freedom to unfreedom.

He spoke of “hope” without once naming what was to be hoped for. He couldn’t, because, for him, the object of that hope was government handouts funded by money taken from those who had earned it–legalized plunder, in the well-turned phrase of Frederic Bastiat.

“We’re all in this together,” the President repeatedly says–without telling us what “this” is. The woozy, undefined “this” turns out to be a package-deal of the voluntary cooperation of free men and the forced regimentation of rightless serfs of an omnipotent state.

As an aid to those who treasure their freedom, I offer this dictionary of Obamaspeak, so that they may know what they are actually up against.

Progressive: one who opposes progress in every form. The “Progressive” opposes nuclear power, coal and oil power, the pharmaceutical industry, and industrialization in general. In politics, the “Progressive” favors a return to the age-old domination of the individual by authority. The “Progressive” rejects the very idea of progress, denying that any society is objectively more advanced than any other. He regards the term “primitive” as politically incorrect. Resurrecting Rousseau’s “noble savage” (though opposing the term “savage”), he claims that savage tribes “live in harmony with their natural environment,” blanking out such facts as their precarious existence, their lifespan of about thirty years, and their constant brutal wars with other tribes.

Ideologue: anyone who has a principled opposition to Obama’s ideology.

Bipartisan: the caving in of the opposition to the President’s “Progressive” legislation.

Folks: people who are expected to regard the President as, aw shucks, just like them–despite the fact that he is constantly telling them that they cannot be trusted to make their own decisions and live their own lives.

Access (as in “access to healthcare”): the ability to be provided with the products of others’ work without having to pay for them.

Transitioning: a process by which “folks” are forced, under penalty of fines and jails, to do what the President knows is best for them, but which they persist in believing is bad for them. E.g., “transitioning to a single-payer system.”

Single-payer system: an arrangement in which the government seizes the funds of the multitude, through taxation and inflation, to pay bottom-dollar for healthcare dictated by the government.

Common sense: the unthought out, emotion-driven feel of things common to “Progressives.”

Stakeholder: anyone who is not an owner, who has not put his own money into the stock of a business, but who is granted the right to dictate its policies.

Worn-out dogmas: the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

Something greater than ourselves: the government.

The Case in Removing Obama from Office

 

When Congress returns from its August recess, lawmakers will have new reading material awaiting them, much like students returning to school — only this book will detail a case for impeaching President Barack Obama.

”Impeachable Offenses: The Case for Removing Barack Obama from Office” is a new book coauthored by journalist and WABC radio host Aaron Klein and blogger Brenda Elliott, and they, along with some members of Congress, are trying to make sure that every member has an opportunity to read the book — even going so far as hand delivering them.

“We plan to be working with a member of Congress who likes the book and has agreed to allow his/her office to serve as a conduit distribution source,” Klein told POLITICO in an email. “[The] publishing firm will be physically bringing the books in as soon as Congress returns and we provide the labor to take them from office to office — hand-delivering them to aides and members.”

Klein declined to name those members of Congress with whom he’ll work to distribute the book, but did say that the idea is growing both inside and out of Congress.

Just last week Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) suggested at a town hall meeting that the House had enough votes to impeach Obama. The idea caught on when, this past Monday, Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-Mich.) told constituents at yet another town hall meeting that it would be a “dream come true” if he could write and submit the bill to impeach Obama. On Wednesday, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) said that Obama was “getting perilously close” to the Constitutional standard for impeachment, according to Tulsa World.

“We are seeing the impeachment effort snowball more and more every week. It’s possible the comments from Reps. Bentivolio and Farenthold represent the opening of a wider movement, both inside Congress and outside,” Klein said.

As President Obama attempts to persuade us that he has a decisive mandate for his left-wing, big government, some say,"socialist", agenda (he does not).

Obama received 3,599,803 FEWER votes in 2012 than 2008. Mitt Romney received nearly 1 million MORE votes in 2012 than John McCain garnered in 2008. Obama's share of the Electoral College dropped, and 48.98% of voters voted AGAINST him. 

While Obama did win the election, nearly half of the nation voted against him and his agenda. That is NOT a decisive mandate, and that is why we have checks and balances in our government.

Supreme Court to hear arguments on Obama Eligibility

 

The case titled Noonan, Judd, MacLeran, Taitz v Bowen provides a mountain of evidence of Barack Obama using a last name not legally his, forged Selective Service application, forged long form and short form birth certificate and a Connecticut Social Security number 042-68-4425 which was never assigned to him according to  E-Verify and SSNVS. Additionally, this case provides evidence of around one and a half million invalid voter registrations in the state of California alone.

Taitz's case argues that Obama is using false identification, a fake last name, a false Social Security number and forged birth certificates, and Selective Service applications to run for president. She originally filed the lawsuit against California Secretary of State Debra Bowen (D) in her attempt to prevent California's electoral votes from being counted and to prevent Vice President Joe Biden from counting the electoral votes earlier this month.

A federal judge in California dismissed this case last week. 
Taitz likened her current case to Watergate.

"Please, keep in mind, Richard Nixon was reelected and sworn in, but later was forced to resign as a result of Watergate. over 30 high ranking officials of Nixon administration including Attorney General of the United States and White House Counsel were indicted, convicted and went to prison," Taitz wrote on her website.

"ObamaForgery gate is a hundred times bigger then Watergate. More corrupt high ranking officials, US Attorneys, AGs and judges were complicit, committed high treason by allowing a citizen of Indonesia and possibly still a citizen of Kenya Barack Hussein Obama, aka Barack (Barry) Soebarkah, aka Barack (Barry) Soetoro to usurp the U.S. Presidency by use of forged IDs and a stolen Social security number."

Rand Paul takes on King Obama

 

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) gave an interview to the Christian Broadcasting Network in which he rather strongly denounced President Obama’s threats to impose gun control through executive orders.  ”I’m against having a king,” said the Senator.  

”I think having a monarch is what we fought the American Revolution over, and someone who wants to bypass the Constitution, bypass Congress, that’s someone who wants to act like a king or monarch.”

Obama Expands ATF's Right to Seize Guns

Obama has expanded civil-forfeiture rules making it permissible for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to seize weapons from citizens without the hassle of due process.

This effectively gives Attorney General Eric Holder, of Fast and Furious fame, extended power over guns and gun-related property.
The rules were broadened under the guise of giving the ATF authority "to seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled substance abuses." And if that doesn't strike you as extreme on first glance, consider the fact that this expansion of civil-forfeiture allows the ATF to fore-go almost all "due process" in making their seizures -- in effect, placing the burden of proof on the citizen instead of federal agents.
Last year, even without these expanded powers, ATF confiscated more than 11,000 guns, and nearly four hundred of them were taken from innocent citizens. With the expanded powers and the ease of bypassing due process now in place, the number of guns confiscated could rise exponentially.
We cannot view this expansion of civil-forfeiture without remembering Obama's May 2011 pledge to pursue gun control "under the radar." For what could be more "under the radar" that quietly expanding federal  power to bypass due process and confiscate private citizens' guns?

Valerie Jarrett Devoted Communist

Valerie Jarrett currently works as a senior adviser to U.S. president Barack Obama and has been referred to as "the other side of Obama’s brain.” Born in Shiraz, Iran to American parents, Jarrett spent the first five years of her life there before her family moved to London. Jarrett comes from a family of highly influential leftists. In 1983 she married Dr. William Robert Jarrett, son of famed Chicago Sun-Times reporter Vernon Jarrett. Vernon Jarrett was a one time political associate of Communist Party USA activist and Obama mentor Frank Marshall Davis. Jarrett is the great niece of prominent Democratic Party leftist Vernon Jordan and her maternal grandfather was Robert Taylor, the first black chairman of the Chicago Housing Authority. Jarrett is a personal friend of Marilyn Katz who worked with Students for a Democratic Society, the 1960s group that banded radical left youth and students together under the New Left movement.

After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, Jarrett went to work for Chicago’s first African-American mayor, Democratic Socialists of America-supported Harold Washington. After Washington’s death in 1987, she stayed on under his successor, Richard Daley. In City Hall, she and her colleague Susan Sher recruited Michelle Robinson, then engaged to Barack Obama, and Jarrett quickly melded her way into their lives. In 2004 Jarrett served as Finance Chair for Obama's 2004 run for the U.S. Senate. In September 2008, Chicago based socialist journal In These Times contributing editor Laura Washington suggested Valerie Jarrett for Urban Development Secretary based on her work as CEO of the Habitat Co. - "a clout-heavy Chicago real estate firm" - and the court-appointed overseer of the city’s massive plan to transform its notoriously decrepit public housing developments. Jarrett served as Senior Adviser to Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and subsequently served as Co-Chair of the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team.

Valerie Jarrett Keeps Obama Close to Radical Roots

 

Valerie Jarrett is not only one of President Barack Obama’s closest advisors; she also is one of the most radical, with close connections to the Chicago left that nurtured Obama in his early political career. 

The Iranian-born Jarrett (her parents were American expatriates) found a foothold in Chicago politics through her marriage to Dr. William Robert Jarrett, whose father Vernon held sway as a columnist on the Chicago Sun-Times--for a time, the city’s only major black columnist.
In 1991, Vernon Jarrett enthusiastically promoted a Chicago visit by professor Derrick Bell, who was still on voluntary unpaid leave from Harvard Law School, in protest at the faculty’s refusal to hire visiting professor Regina Austin. 
Barack Obama, who had joined Bell in that protest, had just graduated from Harvard and had begun work in Chicago at the law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill and Galland, a prominent local civil rights firm.
Bell’s visit had been arranged by the Community Renewal Society, a left-wing group that wanted Bell to help it launch a “racial justice agenda” across the Chicago area. He addressed the Society’s annual dinner, delivering a radical speech on the “permanence” of racism. Describing the civil rights movement as “childlike, trusting, believing, and hopelessly naive,” he suggested a more confrontational approach to race relations.
In addition to the dinner, Bell was invited to conduct a workshop with leading Chicago community organizers. Those invited included Obama’s pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, as well as Father Michael Pfleger, both of whom became notorious during the 2008 presidential campaign.

Defenders of the White House argue that all these bad numbers are a legacy of the dismal situation that Obama inherited. That’s partially true. Obama should not be blamed for the depth of a recession that began before he took office.
But he should be held at least somewhat accountable for an anemic recovery—particularly since he promised “hope” and “change” and then continued the big-spending, pro-cronyism policies of the Bush years.
The moral of the story, needless to say, is that free markets and small government are the keys to growth and prosperity.

Look at where he started, placing his hand on the Bible Abe Lincoln was sworn in on in 1861. It was Jan. 20, 2009. The new president was 47 and in the kind of position politicians can only dream of—a historic figure walking in, the first African-American president, broadly backed by the American people. He won by 9.5 million votes. Two days after his inauguration, Gallup had him at 68% approval, only 12% disapproval. He had a Democratic Senate, and for a time a cloture-proof 60 members. He had a Democratic House (256-178) with a colorful, energetic speaker. The mainstream media were excited about him, supportive of him. His political foes were demoralized, their party fractured.

And then it all changed. At a certain point he lost the room.

He faced big problems—an economic crash,two wars—but those crises gave him broad latitude. All of his stars were perfectly aligned. He could do anything.
And then it all changed. At a certain point he lost the room.
Books will be written about what happened, but early on the president made two terrible legislative decisions. The stimulus bill was a political disaster, and it wasn't the cost, it was the content. We were in crisis, losing jobs. People would have accepted high spending if it looked promising. But the stimulus was the same old same old, pure pork aimed at reliable constituencies. It would course through the economy with little effect. And it would not receive a single Republican vote in the House (three in the Senate), which was bad for Washington, bad for our politics. It was a catastrophic victory. It did say there was a new boss in town. But it also said the new boss was out of his league.

World’s Richest Man Gets Richer Supplying ‘Obamaphones’ to Poor

A Mexican telecom mogul who holds the title of world's richest man, and one of President Obama's top donors are both getting even richer from the U.S. government program that supplies so-called "Obamaphones" to the poor.

Carlos Slim, who has an estimated net worth of $70 billion, owns a controlling stake in TracFone, which makes $10 per phone for each device it provides to poor Americans. The company, whose president and CEO is Frederick “F.J.” Pollak, also makes money from extra minutes and data plans it sells to subscribers who get phones and service through the government's Lifeline program. The program, which began in the mid-1980s, has exploded in the past four years after being expanded from supplying landlines to the poor to providing cellular phones.

President Obama's Twitter account has 18.8 million followers -- but more than half of them really don't exist, according to reports. A new Web tool has determined that 70% of Obama's crowd includes "fake followers," The New York Times reports in a story about how Twitter followers can be purchased. "The practice has become so widespread that StatusPeople, a social media management company in London, released a Web tool last month called the Fake Follower Check that it says can ascertain how many fake followers you and your friends have," the Times reports.
