The Race Hustling MSNBC Tax Cheats are just the Tip of the Liberal Hypocrisy Iceberg

The fact that four MSNBC stars, all of whom must earn a pretty sweet 1% living, do not pay their taxes, should surprise no one. The Left is now officially the Do-As-I-Say-Not-As-I-Do Party on all issues, not just taxes, but also feminism, the environment, political contributions, and corporate windfalls.

As long as your politics are correct, if you are a Leftist-in-good-standing, no one in the media or on the Left cares about your hypocrisy. NRO’s Victor Davis Hanson laid this out brilliantly Monday:

Frequent White House guest Al Sharpton is a tax cheat, a homophobe, and an inciter of riot and mayhem, with a long history of racial disparagement. But he knows that all that private sin is contextualized by his loud sermonizing on the supposed racism of white America. Eric Holder can fly his daughters and their boyfriends to the Belmont Stakes on a government jet — but only because he is Eric Holder, who periodically blasts America’s supposed ethical reactionaries. …

Al Gore is so worried about how corporate culture promotes damage to the planet that he was forced to rake in hundreds of millions of dollars for his own green corporations to warn us about other such cynics. He is so shocked about CO2 emissions and the global petroleum culture that he unloaded his underperforming and overpriced cable channel to a carbon-exporting, anti-Jewish autocratic sheikhdom that paid him handsomely with its petrodollars. …

Michelle and Barack Obama are so concerned about global warming that not long ago they left two huge carbon footprints, when simultaneously they took separate government jumbo jets to fly out to Los Angeles to appear on separate talk shows. This was worthy of Leonardo DiCaprio, who on his private jet flew to conferences on the carbon excesses of hoi polloi. Elizabeth Warren is so committed to a fair and just society where egalitarianism is the shared goal, and where we assume that no one creates anything without the government, that she and her husband often augmented the generous incomes from their Harvard law professorships with lucrative corporate consulting to achieve 1 percenter status, with nearly $1 million in annual income.

Out of one side of her mouth, Hillary Clinton blasts money in politics while planning on raising a record $2.5 billion to become president. And how about the fact that her husband, a Neanderthal when it comes to women, passes muster with feminists.

Fox New Most Trusted by a Mile

 

A new poll should have the minions at the left-wing, Soros-funded, tax-exempt, union-busting Media Matters scrambling for a rewrite at the drawing board for it shows that Fox News is the most trusted name in all of news and the left-wing MSNBC is the least trusted.

In a poll about a whole lot of things (religion, immigration, Obama) the Brookings Institution also surveyed 1538 adults about the news networks. When asked "which of the following news sources do you trust the most to provide accurate information about politics and current events?," Fox News beat everyone with 25%. MSNBC landed dead last with a humiliating 5%. CNN came in well behind Fox with 17%. "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" came in second to last with 8%

Fox News even beats the broadcast networks, which came in second with 23%

Independent voters also choose Fox News first and over MSNBC with a 26% to 4% margin. CNN sits at 16%. The broadcast networks, 17%.

How Comcast bought the Democrats

At National Review, Matthew Continetti lays out the numbers that look at how communications giant Comcast has spent the last few years purchasing the Democrat Party, especially Barack Obama. 

Now that Comcast is looking to merge with Time Warner and own one-third of all the bundled cable and satellite market in America, this note has come due and the deafening silence over the merger from Democrats indicates that FCC approval is just a matter of formality.

Some of the bullet points:

Comcast CEO and president Brian Roberts is Obama's golf buddy. He's donated thousands to Obama, the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and numerous high-profile Democrats, including Steny Hoyer. Roberts is also an Obama fundraiser to the tune of $2 million and has visited the White House 14 times since 2010. 

The Comcast Foundation has funneled more than $3 billion -- with a "b" -- to Hispanic, black and Asian groups that make up the Democrat's primary voting bloc. 

Continetti also points out that the primary contribution Comcast has made to Democrats has been through its ownership of NBC and NBC News. NBC's entertainment programming obviously skews left, and has always been ready to promote things like the Left's green campaigns. 

What NBC News and MSNBC have done for Democrats and Obama, though, is incalculable. Imagine a fully-staffed news team and network solely devoted to protecting your party, your agenda, and attacking your opponents. 

If that isn't enough, the company Comcast wants to merge with, Time Warner, has been greasing the palms of Democrats like Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry to the tune of millions.

MSNBC Host Blasts Palin for Displaying Christmas Tree

MSNBC, the station that had employed a host that suggested someone should urinate and defecate in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's mouth, blasted Palin on Thursday for having a Christmas tree in her home on Christmas. 

In a segment that was stranger than fiction on  The Ed Show, guest-host Joy Reid claimed Palin was going against the Bible by displaying a Christmas tree in her home when she was interviewed for a Fox & Friends Christmas special.
"Certain parts of the Bible also appear to preach against let’s say, I don’t know, Christmas trees," Reid said, according to a Newsbusters transcript. 

Reid then read Jeremiah 10-10, thinking she was indicting Palin in a game of "gotcha":

“For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. Like a scare crow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good."

"Now, a Christmas purist wouldn't want to stray from the Bible on Christmas, would she?" Reid said.

As Newsbusters noted, though, authorities on the Bible have pointed out that "nothing can be further from the truth" since Jeremiah does not mention Christmas trees, and the trees in the verse that Reid mentioned are cut down to to be turned into worthless idols, which is what the verse warns against.

How can anyone have any respect for this man. The good Reverend has a heck of a history and Tax Cheat is the least of his unsavory labels. SF 

 

Taxes Are For The Little People

As The Post’s Isabel Vincent and Melissa Klein reported last year, Sharpton “owe[d] the IRS $2.6 million in income tax, and nearly $900,000 in state tax.”

And his personal pride and joy National Action Network owed more than $880,000 in unpaid federal payroll taxes, interest and penalties, Vincent and Klein found.

Which makes Obama’s decision to invite Sharpton (and several other MSNBC hosts) baffling. Why ask a man with a terminal case of tax allergies to make the case for higher rates for everybody else?

The Rev’s issues go back decades: In 1993, for example, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor tax crime to avoid two felony charges. In the years since, the IRS has issued a dozen liens against Sharpton’s groups, including one against him for $538,652 in 2010. Asked about all this yesterday — specifically, whether he’s gotten square with the tax man — Sharpton said simply that he has “resolved all matters.” But his spokeswoman later refused to respond to a simple question: Has Sharpton actually paid his taxes? Nevertheless, it’s clear that the reverend intends to preach Obama’s tax-hike gospel. After leaving the White House Tuesday, he dedicated a 12-minute segment on his MSNBC show to the need for “a tax increase on the richest in this country.”

Since Obama is targeting those who make more than $200,000 a year, the “richest” set actually includes Sharpton himself — who pulls in $240,000 annually from the National Action Network alone, and never mind his MSNBC gig.

But here’s the bottom line: Sharpton is happy to spread the gospel about “tax fairness,” but if tax law were “fair” — that is, if it were applied to him like everybody else — he’d have been out of the picture a very long time ago. It’s as simple as that.

MSNBC'S MOTTO: 'LEAN RACIST'

In the speech, Obama lied about America to portray the nation as irredeemably racist. Channeling Kayne West, Obama said the government doesn't "care about" black people in New Orleans. This was based on his assertion that New York City received more help from the federal government after 9/11, and Florida got more after Hurricane Andrew.

Unlike blacks in New Orleans, he said, those victims were considered "part of the American family."

Obama was a sitting senator when he spouted this nonsense. He had to know that months earlier, $100 billion in federal disaster relief had been sent to the Gulf states hit by Katrina -- or five times more than the disaster relief funds sent to New York after 9/11.

All this was edited out of the clips Rachel played from Obama's speech. This allowed her to smirk: "This is how (Obama) snuck into the White House, right? People didn't actually know he was this black, and if they had known he was this black, they never would have elected him. That's the idea here, right?"

Actually, Rachel, I think the point is that this half-black, private-schooled Hawaiian, born in 1961, is desperate for reasons to be angry at white America, so he can play-act Ralph Ellison in "The Invisible Man."

MSNBC Continues to Push 'Nothing to See Here' Narrative About Libya Debacle

  In the October 1 broadcast of NewsNation with Tamron Hall, a segment featuring former State Department Middle East officer Joel Rubin focused on how the Romney campaign was “trying to put all of these things in a big pot hoping that something picks up steam” concerning President Obama’s foreign policy. Yep, it’s still the same game with some in the media – which is to trivialize what can hurt the president to prevent it from becoming news.
Rubin said of Romney and his team that they were throwing a lot of things “against the wall” and seeing what “sticks.”   Rubin continued by saying that the politicization of Ambassador Steven’s death is a travesty.  And the president skipping out on intelligence briefings isn’t?  While he did say that the matter of the threat assessment is a “fair question,” Rubin also noted that Ambassador Stevens received the same briefings and knew the risks involved being stationed there.  It was a rather crude way of trivializing the president’s role in not preventing this terrorist attack.
